About Me

I’m a father, husband and a sometimes night-owl with a deep affection for Powerbars, Coke Zero, Jugo Juice and cherry Nibs.
By day you’ll find me at Central 1 Credit Union where I’m the Product Manager, Direct Banking.
‘Benry’ for those wondering, is a Japanese word that roughly translates as “useful” or “helpful” (or at least that is what I have been told (anyone who speaks/writes Japanese care to clarify?). A friend suggested it and it kind of stuck as a descriptor of my work and approach to solving problems. Plus I liked the short domain name. Ron Shevlin noted once that a translation came up as “useful” and “management” and he couldn’t help but remark on the paradox.
This blog, is here both to ‘bookmark’ my ideas, but also I hope to progressively share some of my own knowledge as well.
Note: The opinions, comments and discussions on this blog are my own and not those of my employers. Beware of sarcasm.
